Help Topic: Submitting files for upload
As you may have noticed, at IB Survival we offer, in addition to help and friendly advice, downloadable files such as notes and sample essays. While currently the bulk of these files now come from our administration team, we also would like you to have the opportunity to contribute to the site as well. This is because we obviously want as diverse a collection of material as we can get. Also, we ourselves, alone, cannot provide everything, in every subject, to satisfy the need of all IB students.
So now we ask you to help contribute to the site. If you have any notes or sample essays that you'd be willing to share with fellow IB students to help them, your contribution would be greatly appreciated. Some of the things we're looking for are:
- Topic notes in specific subjects
- Sample essays or works - includes past paper responses, simple essays done for class assessment
- Latest versions of syllabi that are not available already on the site
- Latest versions of data booklets that are not available already on the site
- Any other files that may be of use to IB students, such as TSM, guides, etc.
Please note, however, that when contributing files, if possible, please convert all files into PDF format before submission. This makes it harder for people to copy your work, and it is also a more manageable format to download.
We suggest you put your name/username somewhere on the document (such as the header) to avoid people claiming your work as their own. When uploading files, please provide meaningful descriptions and titles to the files.
Please be assured that only members of IB Survival can download files uploaded here and we have the means to keep track of each and every download. We will be taking every action possible to make it difficult for people to plagarise your work.
We strongly advise you, however, to not submit any work such as essays or sample coursework that have yet to be marked by the IBO. Leave the submission of your official IB work until you have received your IB results.
To submit files, please upoad your files to the corresponding categories in the Files system. All file submissions are subject to approval from the moderating team before being available to all members, therefore when you upload the file, you will not see it. However, it would have been submitted and will become visible once approved by a mod or admin.
If you have any questions regarding this, feel free to ask here.
Thank you for your help in building up IB Survival.
