Would this be fine for a topic?

I decided to do a review on the history of cryptography, I highlighted 3 or 4 different ways, increasingly more difficult. That part I don't think is very difficult but the difficult (not really) part is putting my own input... What I did was use the ciphers and explained how they worked and "cracked" them and explained the faults within them.. Is this enough for a mathematics exploration?

Thanks in advance!

That sounds extremely similar to this example.

It got 15/20 for the SL criteria, with 6/6 for use of mathematics for SL, so you should be fine as long as your work isn't too similar to this one so that ibo won't think you plagiarized (after all this example is on their official website) and you do include as much math as the author to this one did.

You should probably work with the other criteria though, you could find the detailed marks here.

Ahh okay that's helpful and reassuring, so far I think mine is more descriptive then that example so far... I used the similar question but I didn't really base my structuring off his/hers as I didn't feel like the way I would structure out my exploration. I think that I would rather keep mine to only 3 areas whereas that example has 6, but with more detail and focus on the mathematics. Because at the end of the day it comes down to quality not quantity right?

Yes, but make sure to include enough mathematics, say examples like caesar shift/substitution would not contain much mathematics, while the "amount of mathematics" in examples like Enigma and RSA would largely depend on how detailed you go into them.
