  1. Hey there Canadian universities only give a conditional acceptance based on predicted grades. They actually do need your final points when making a decision. They will usually tell you how many points you need to get in order to be accepted and once you reach those points, that's when they give you a final acceptance. That was how it was with my anyway! Hope I helped
  2. Hey there I agree with Sandwich. Do a subject which you think you're mostly good at and will score higher. If you think that it's Biology HL, then do it. Personally, I would choose Biology. It's far more easier to handle and study for although there's a lot of content. My friends who did Chemistry complained all the time and most of them didn't get their diplomas cause they failed chemistry. Also, as Sandwich said, look up university requirements for the major you want to pursue and decided what subject to take accordingly. Good luck

  6. Well now they choose a new pope. All the cardinals around the world will gather in Rome and lock themselves in a chapel of some sort and will take hours debating on the next suitable candidate as pope. Once it's decided, they signal their decision by releasing white smoke from the chimney of the chapel they're in then bam! New pope. That's all there is to it. It's not really a big deal as people make it out to be. They'll all meet up in March to decide on who the next pope should be!
  7. Don't procrastinate.. But just try to stick to deadlines. Have good time management (this may help you out ). Enjoy the subjects that you're going to take. Good luck!

  10. Well, it's more like: Why is mental illness always brough into the picture when things like this happen? They always blame or are able to associate some mental illness with the perpetrator.

What khimberleigh said. You won't lose points for that. If that were the case, most people would fail the IA's in Biology for them not being so original As long as it's an experiment that shows what you're testing for, it should be alright!

If you're going to do it on osmosis. You could do it on potatoes. Like, put a bunch of potatoes in water and the another bunch in water with salt. Measure them before and after etc etc. That could probably be better.
  13. Like Jaymi said, it doesn't matter if it's easy to do an EE in such and such subject. What matters is that the topic and subject you choose to do it in, should interest you. You can't expect to write a 4000 essay on a subject you hate! Carrying out an experiment for science EE's is HIGHLY recommended because it gives a chance to score a high mark on your EE. EE's in science subjects that don't have experiments carried out to test hypotheses don't score that good and you could fairly well get a C! Good luck!
