canutox
I am currently doing the second year of IB and I have to come up with my own experiment. I am finding this a bit complicated. Could you give me any ideas, suggestions, research questions you have already done or you might be thinking of doing, etc. Thanks
Drake Glau
Think simple, think something you have learned, I'm assuming this is an IA so don't complicate it to the point you do badly. Keep in mind what you're able to control in the classroom and what you can measure as well. I did germination for my last IA, as did my whole class. Abdominal Procrastinator
What topic are you required to do your design on?
tootall2591
My class did two IAs one on germination rate and another on respiration after exercise. If your teacher is not guiding you or setting down guide lines for the lab you should do one on a subject you have covered in class and feel confident about. Also, it is important to factor in the complexity of it because if it is to complex it may not work as well as a simple lab.
Mahuta ♥
We cannot give you research questions suggestions because that mean doing your work for you. Normally there are lab ideas in biology text books for areas like osmosis, enzymes, plant transpiration..etc..etc.Come up with a research question, or anything close to that and we can give you all the help we can provide from there.
