Ruan Chun Xian
I found vectors pretty easy. But then again everyone have been saying it's hard. So I don't know. Reply
Afterglow
I found vectors pretty easy. But then again everyone have been saying it's hard. So I don't know. Yes, it does differ. I found the beginning easy but then things got complicated for me.My friend however loves vector and thinks it is so easy Reply
Survivor Rob
I just realised I have done vectors even though i thought i hadnt! Worrying!? So ive found it OK up to now but i have a feeling we've only done the easy stuff... How did everyone find proof by Induction? BTW integration by parts must die. Ruan Chun Xian
Of yes integration by parts was the bane of my whole paper. Proof by induction was ok...if you can do it. If you can remember all the steps and luckily get an easy-ish proof, then it's not too bad. Reply

First itegration by parts is fine, its just when you have to do it again to get the answer!? *confused* Reply
Guest dr34mXXX
I absolutely hate finite math. Reply
Guest AirRon23
vectors owned me on my IB 2 methods test. I was so confident on every problem until i got to that vectors one, it totally killed me.I really love integration, esp by substitution and stuff, its like a cool puzzle and you have to try and figure it out. salivattack
I detest the topic of vectors. The intersection of lines and the intersection of planesis rather confusing to me. For example, I dislike geometric interpretation of lines and planes. Edited September 9, 2007 by salivattack Reply
Guest loerindir
vectors was easy...but the matrices part was just booorrriiiing Reply
icecoldstar
did anyone find trig substituion annoying like hell?and also, graphing is a pain as well... especially when u need to take 2nd derivative of some rational fxn Reply
Caitlin
You know the most annoying thing about Maths? It's that calculators are meant to make our lives easier... but it's impossible to find anything on the stupid things! Reply
basilmasri21
I find Integration by substitution absolutely annoying and irritating. It's either that or my feeble attempt to jog my rusty brain in the middle of the holidays to practice some maths. That didn't go so well. How are you guys finding Maths? I found it great and easy in the first half of the first year, but towards the end of the first year, it's getting harder. Dude, I'm sorry but I just have to comment. Integration is my favorite topic, and substitution isn't nearly as annoying as prats or partial fractions (if you take the option). You also need it for all types of problems. Anyways, if you're having problems, I'm doing a website for my IT project on integration. You'll find it on the mashrek website by january. Good luck. AirROn23 is right by the way, it is like a puzzle, makes my day when the teacher puts down a challenging integration problem on a test, especially if it involves trig. substituiton. Lil
yeax the calculators are really annoying and I need eternity to calculate something.. as for lesons, they are ok for me because I love math (even though I'm doing studies ) Reply
ffaholic
CONICS!!!!!!! I HATE that unit!! We did it and then my teacher said that it wasn't in the IB curriculum so we were all confused as to WHY we did it. Reply
cixelsyD
I agree bout conics.. and vectorsand I hate proof by induction.. caus my teacher always gives us really really hard examples >< Edited November 29, 2007 by cixelsyD Reply
a.barghuthi
I guess for me I would say........vectors..hehe probably cause i hadnt looked at it since the teacher gave us the lesson! Reply
sheida
I find series and functions really easy, but I absolutely hate geometry. We haven't even started on calculus yet, so I have no idea what surprises it will hold for me, but I'm guessing they will be very unpleasant... Afterglow
Can I just say once again how much I absolutely hate vectors, most particulary applied vectors (lines in space, 3D and etc)? ArghhhhhhhBecause I really do. Yesterday we had math test and there was a 20 point question alllll about vectors in each paper which meant automatically for me "Bye bye, 40 points..."I need to get a grasp of this topic before the exams. I need to.... Edited November 29, 2007 by Afterglow Reply

Ghanem9
i found vectors moderate in difficulty when it comes to understanding the material, but solving the questions could be tricky and very time consuming... speaking of which i have serious issue regarding managing my time on tests and end up leaving out a question or two even though i know the answer Reply
