Guest Dominique25
Heys, I'm completely hopeless when it comes to economics, especially data analysis. Any tips on how to study for them would be awesome. I know on my mock it will be two data analysis and one long answer so I really need to figure out how to approach them! also if you know of a site that i can get practise questions that would be wicked too Thanks Reply
Forester
If my memory serves me right, doesn't each data response have 2 definitions? So that's 4 easy marks already. You just need to make sure you know all the definitions. My teacher said you can give a vague definition and supplement it with a diagram and you will still get 2 marks for your answer. The next two questions is on graphs and interpretation? 4 marks each?So basically you most likely have to draw a graph, title, label axis, points. And then you describe the graph. NO evaluation needed here. And the last evaluation question worth 8 marks, consider these following points:i. Identify the effects on different stakeholdersii. Compare the short term and long term effectsiii. Question the validity of a policy – will it work? iv. Describe the advantages and disadvantages of a policyv. Is the writer biased? What are you being led to believe?vi. Are there any conflicting arguments/policies in the data?vii. Is the information complete/sufficient to draw conclusions?viii. Would the effects be different in MDCs and LDCs?ix. Do you agree with the data/conclusions? Why/why not?x. Prioritise the arguments – which are most important?omg I'm an idiot, I just found a document explaining everything...I'll upload it.Advice_on_answering_Data_Response_questions.doc 1 Reply
