Math: Euler's Formula, Trigonometry and Logarithms

Hi so I am thinking about writing my extended essay in math. I have one topic in mind that I want to do but don't know if its doable or not. Its the relationship between trigonometry and logarithms(likely natural logs with base e) with respect to Euler's formula. Can you guys help me narrow it down and give me some insights into formulating into a reserch question? Thanks.

Is there any other relationship between trigo and log? Is this the Euler's formula?

eix = cos(x) + i sin(x)

Then...what? What do you want to do about it? Proving that formula? Or just going about discussing it?

I suggest finding its application in real life. Maybe there is some real life problems that can be solved using this formula. You find out. Then you talk about that problem in your EE :(

I myself am having troubles in finding a topic for my Math EE :) I currently have a quite good one but not sure if my teacher will like it.. I hope she will :lc: so good luck! If you are stuck I suggest doing your EE in another subject area :) I can't change mine, the school doesn't allow me lol. The hardest thing in doing a Math EE is finding a decent topic :) so good luck! :)

PS. read my post in this thread :(
