Abid
Hi I'm doing a partial replication of Bailey's (2001) 'The effect of pre-highlighting text on long term memory recall'For know I'm just completing the design section for my IA and was wondering what 'operational definitions' were. Could someone explain this to me ?? Thanks in advance =D Reply
blindpet
A variable is operating as a measure for some phenomenon like intelligence or in your case memory. For example IQ could be a variable that is operating as a definition (and measure) of intelligence. Does that make sense? In your case the number of items correctly recalled operates as a measure of memory (Reference). Reply
