I just like to get up early because I hate rushing in the morning. And I go running every other morning, so I get up early to fit running into my routine. You see, before I started IB, I used to get up just 20 minutes before I'd leave the house. There'd always be times when I overslept and missed the bus or had to skip breakfast because I didn't have enough time.
Getting up early is great! It means that I can take my time to properly clean/groom myself, have breakfast without wolfing everything down, and just generally relax before heading to school and using up all my brain power in lessons. Besides, having some spare time in the morning means that I can use it to study or to save my sorry bottom if anything unexpected comes up, like a forgotten piece of homework
Reading this article might inspire you to get up early: http://zenhabits.net...d-how-to-do-it/ It might take some willpower and self-discipline at first, but once you get used to it, it becomes natural to you! I used to dread the mornings but now I really like them. (Sorry if it sounds like I'm trying to brainwash you! Haha
And @ sarahlouise and Expired Manwich of Doom: Yay, other people who exercises in the morning!

Yay! I love exercising in the morning. While I excercise once or twice a week in the afternoon as well, for school sport, I way prefer it in the morning. I couldn't be bothered doing it all in the afternoons after a long day at school!

Ugh, I can't believe I left that typo there. I guess it's too late to change it now
YES! I feel sharper and more alert if I've been running in the morning. I'm even convinced to say that my morning runs help me study better for the rest of the day. I used to go running before dinner, and I'm so glad I switched to running in the morning. The quiet, early mornings and their beautiful, clear skies are the best... Exercising is such a great way to start a new day. (Bleh, I'm going terribly off-topic and I sound like a commercial now... Just goes to show how much I like my morning exercise, hah!)

Studies have actually suggested that as one of the benefits of doing exercise in the morning
The only problem I have from running in the morning is the morning dew on the grass that makes it really soggy and muddy for my shoes

Also it means one has the whole afternoon to do homework! So much time! It's wonderful.

I can never force myself to exercise before school (although I'm joining cross-country this year) because I'm one of those kids that sweat really, really easily, and there won't be enough time to take a shower before school...
That's why I exercise right before taking a shower, after school hours.

Hmm you guys all seem to follow a trend, mabbe I should stick waking up earlier. I used to go to school really early, but then I figured screw that, since there is absolutely nothing to do before classes. I'm deciding to arrive well before classes, but not too early, as public transit is quite hectic where I live.

Last year, i used to go jogging after I came home from school, but I found it very inefficient: I would be very tired, and before I knew it it got dark and there was little time to study!
Therefore, this year I will start a new habit of running before school because of its many benefits!
By the way, I'm a highly competitive soccer (football) player and I knew to get in shape!
