I just enjoy being busy...I feel horrible when I'm unproductive.
And no, I did not expect to be only having about 5 hours of sleep each night, but it's better than doing nothing all day.

EXACTELY! I feel the same way. Recently I hanged a pictures of my dream university above my desk and try not to use Facebook more than 30 minutes per day. But sometimes, after for example 9 hard hours at school, you simply CAN'T sit and start learning, again. We're all humans, for God's sake... It's all about finding balance. I guess I have it easier cause I live alone and no one distracts me when I'm studying like a barking dog, a sister who wants to talk, mother etc... But still.

My biggest motivation in IB is getting into university. If this program didn't give me any advantage for uni I would not have done it. By advantage for uni I don't only mean grades, but stuff like time management as well.

My biggest motivation during IB was graduating and starting a new life at university. Yes, that was what kept me on track along with my post IB eurotrip and good music. I hope you get motivation, but don´t let this motivation take over your IB years which you will want to remember always. Just enjoy the moment! University is great and all, but you will have to wait for it and keep it up with IB!

My motivation to stay in IB...was that I didn't really have a choice.Once I was in it,I couldn't abandon it to do A-Levels because my parents would never allow such a thing. With that knowledge,I always just tried to make sure I got a diploma.Afterall,no matter how hard IB felt,I couldn't let my guard down because that would mean I wasted 2 years of my life.

My biggest motivation for IB was to challenge myself, I guess.
I know it sounds lame, but it's true. I've never gotten the true satisfaction from working so bloody hard before, and it helped me be more self aware I guess. I had no idea that I liked working hard.
Right now, My biggest fear while in IB is that my hard work will go to waste, and that's what keeps me going and going. Our group is getting to the point where lots of people are dropping out, but what helps me stick to it is to think of all the hard, hard work I've done so far and how it'll be a shame not to see it through.
I don't know exactly what I want to be or what University I want to go to, but I plan to study abroad and set my goals high.

For those of you who are motivated by university to succeed in IB, what happens to your work ethic if after the univeristy of your choice has unconditionally accepted you?

Do it for yourself rather than the university. Almost like self gratitude so when you've finished you can say that you did the best you could.
If you start working and you get your pay cheque in advance that shouldn't mean you'll stop working, should it?

Well, I am motivated by the fact that when I complete IB, I will already be a sophomore in college. That's one less year of schooling that I have to pay for. And, I also get a scholarship for completing the IB programme. yeahh

To A) prove a teacher wrong, and B) prove a friend I lost correct. Basically.

Basically, what keeps you going?
I'll start off: Looking at the Universities I don't want to go to, and looking at the admission requirements of the Universities I DO want to go to.

There are soooo many things that keep me going, the support I get from the people around me, especially from my boyfriend and parents. I don't know how I would wake up in the morning without the love and support they show me that propels me forward. Also there are so many ''rewards'' I have promised myself if I actually complete this. My whole life will change after IB, but even if I don't finish it, it will still change as I will be moving countries anyway. I just really love the idea of nothing being the same no matter what happens, I think my biggest fear would be finishing this and then somehow taking steps backwards, and I don't even know how that would even be possible, but I just really love the idea of constantly moving forward.
