That's a good question. I'm an IB Alumnus so shouldn't I be a part of that category? Or for that matter any of the other IB grads who frequent the website?

no, they're ex-staff members. that's why they're called IBS Alumni, not IB Alumni 
but not all ex-staff members can have that status. only those who were very helpful and contributed a lot.
more exact description is expected from some admin... I want to know too.

IBS Alumni members are those who have been a helpful part of IBS staff team for quiet a long time. They are the once who only had to leave because of their studies/work. The members of that group have been on the forum for so long, the newest one joined 2.5 years ago, the rest more than 4 years. This group is not for all ex-staff members like Desy said. We made that group to show them that IBS will always appreciate the efforts they put in to keep the forum organized. Sounds a bit too fancy I guess but yeah.
