sup,

I'm not talking about extra essays for my teacher to mark It's basically the equivalent of another extended essay.

if found this :

www.trin.cam.ac.uk/index.php?pageid=696

I haven't even started my EE but I found this and im considering it.

is it worth my time?

If you write your EE on philosophy, you could also send it to that contest and win fame and fortune  . It might seem impressive to universities if you win ;) Note though that the competition for this year has already ended so you should send in the essay before next may! If you don´t write your EE on philosophy, you could also send a random philosophy essay you do for school if it meets the requirements. Otherwise, if it is worth it to spend the extra effort is up to you.

I would give it a shot if I were you. you're still in IB1 and have PLENTY of time! so use it wisely :) plus, stuff like this could really be helpful when you apply to universities. it's worth the time IMO. good luck!
