If the internet went down for only 1 hour globally what do you think would happen?

Since the internet is something we are more and more dependent on, if it went down do you think that we'd have some crisis?

The reason why i think this might happen is because of defence systems and communication. Would people even know that it's gone down globally?

discuss if you can find something worth discussing about it :P

I think one hour off internet wouldn't be a problem :/ it's not like everyone is on the computer 24/7 (except for those gamers who don't sleep, I guess?)

people are not THAT desperate I don't think. perhaps they're patient enough to wait for an hour.

people in some countries might not be aware of it. it could be bed time in their place.

but if it's one day, WOAH cannot imagine how crazy the world would go.

everything from stock market to media to country defiance, everything would be in chaos. normal people can live through it and noting will  happen to them but the more internet depended people/ businesses might have a lot of problems. me? i would be sad, noting like suicide of course...haha

I would probably break down and cry (and probably scream). and no, I don't think people would know that it was globally.

Assuming that is not EE/IA-related.

As for defence systems... think again. The phone line is not connected to the internet, that is unless you use Skype to chat of course.

Very true, although I should be researching my history IA and yet I'm still on here... :D

I don't think "chaos" would ensue though... an hour isn't very long
