Heat and Dust by Ruth Jhabvala is the first school novel which I thoroughly hate (and coincidentally, can't understand). Unfortunately, I have a paper-2 style assessment on Heat and Dust as a whole on tuesday, and I need desperately need help. I seem to have a very superficial understanding of the book which I can't seem to fix with rereadings. Can you guys please help me (and anybody else who needs information on Heat and Dust) by posting what you know about the book below? Thanks!
