Hey! So you all probably know about the requirement for laboratories. We all need to have 40 hours. But does IB check the unassesed labs? I am asking because I had some laboratories which I did but I did not write the lab reports on. I dont remember them at all, so I dont really feel like writing them. Anyone knows if unassesed labs really are necessery? (If you did the lab but not the lab report itself)

One of my teachers told me the IB may check unassessed or informal labs as proof that you actually completed the lab hour requirement, but I highly doubt they will. The only cases I could think of are maybe if your school is being moderated this year or if they're suspicious for some reason

your teacher is the one to keep track with those unassessed labs. in the IA form submitted to the IBO, you'll have a list of titles of all experiments you've conducted including the informal labs (unassessed labs) with the number of hours spent doing it. but no the IB wouldn't want to see these lab reports.
