i'm in IB diploma year 1 and so far we have done the history of the americas from 1865 to 1930 and the cold war.
what will i be learning in later on history? for example in world history?
because we have to choose our HI topic soon and i have no clue what to write about, so i thought something form world history would be more interesting.
on top of that our history teacher is new to IB and he doesn't know much about IB and overall is not a great teacher.

any help would be great

thanks :)

It depends what your teacher has chosen for your class.

It appears as if the teacher has taught the paper 3 option already (history of the Americas), and Cold War satisfies half of the paper two requirements. The other half is derived from another selection from the paper 2 topics, you'd need to ask your teacher what he/she has planned for the class.

You also seem to have not covered your prescribed topic for paper one, one of communism in crisis, arab-israeli conflict, or the other which does not come to mind.
