My original HI research questions/topic was about the ways in which the media actually increased the fanbase surrounding the infamous 1930's criminals Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow.

I realized after much research that, although I can find plenty of 1st resources that are media pieces like Wanted posters, newspaper articles, cartoons, etc., I can't find how it actually affected the fanbase. I know that it help increase it to a large extent, but I can't find first resources or any articles actually pertaining to the question.

Any suggestions on how I can adjust the question to be able to actually write an investigation on it?
