I'm wondering how much of the IBS population can solve a Rubik's Cube. In my little group of friends, we had a minor obsession with it last year, and most of us can solve it in 2-3 minutes (although their skills are a bit rusty). My obsession is a little bit stronger, and I've got 5-6 cubes at home. With a bit of practice, I can get down to a sub-minute average fairly easily. My fastest time is 30 seconds, though that was a bit of a fluke. I use the really basic layer-by-layer method, but can use the Petrus Method.

Is it just a lonely me who likes cubing? Is there anyone here who is a crazy solver?

The only time I ever solved a Rubik's cube was when I pulled the stickers off all the squares and rearranged them to make them all match
:hypocrite:

I actually don't own a rubik's cube. Actually I have the 2x2 one, that was given to me as a jokey present.

I reckon it would be really cool to be able to do it, but unfortunately I lack the skill. x]

I was thinking of writing exactly this after I typed "I used to be a hardcore cuber ...". Wonder how many people here play skyrim

I had a rubik cube once in my life. I think I was around 10 then and couldn't solve the thing in a few days. I gave it to my grandma's brother who indeed did solve it but broke it at the same time. That was the end of both my rubik cube, and cubing. :)
