The book I'm going to be working with is Love in the Time of Cholera.
I had been thinking about doing the Creative assignment, and maybe creating a Dramatic Monologue sketch or something like that, but I'm really unsure whether I'll stick with it or not. I was considering a detailed study too, but at the same time I'm not so sure if I'd find it too difficult. If anyone has a better idea, you're welcome to share it.
So, taking into consideration the dramatic monologue, anyone have any suggestions on what passage I could use? Or at least a topic/theme from the novel I should try to focus on?
Or maybe you just have some tips on creating a Dramatic Monologue?
I had also thought about maybe creating one of the many letters that Florentino had written to Fermina, but then I wondered if there would even be a good purpose to that (and I'm not even sure what I'd write)
Maybe I could do some kind of critics review (since lots of people in my class hated the book.. haha...)
Or maybe even an extra chapter, but what would that be about? The ending was pretty ambiguous for a lot of people.
I'm also not too clear on what would be in my statement of intent (but I guess that comes after choosing my passage, huh..)
Any help appreciated. Thanks.

I've never heard of the book, but I strongly reccommend the creative option. If you like the book it's a lot of fun

Actually I decided to go with the detailed study :I
I'm going to choose either between the scene where they have a fight over soap (because I hear it actually shows a lot about their relationship) or Florentino's short relationship with the lady who keeps her baby in a bird cage (it really interests me, but I'm not sure whether I can actually write a lot about it).
Anyone have any input?
