Hi everyone,
Id like to know if "is how we perceive people around us a result of nature or nurture" is a suitable knowledge issue, and if not how it can be modified or altered to be so.

I think if everyone posted their ideas for knowledge issues and then we as a community critiqued them in this thread, we could make things more efficient

That is not a knowledge issue. Refer to this link for assistance for your presentation.

Perhaps that will happen will if demand for it is higher.

I've actually already done my presentation using that as my knowledge issue and i was wondering how i may be able to subtly change it into a knowledge issue

...as in written your presentation or already delivered it?

If it's not a knowledge issue, you cannot morph it into one by sheer willpower alone or by virtue of having already done a presentation on it. Neither of these will have any bearing on what you've already written. The tips thread you were given a link to explains clearly what is/isn't a knowledge issue. Given that it's your presentation and your grade, YOU should be able to use the advice on that thread to try and somehow dig a real knowledge issue out of your topic. Or alternatively you could be less lazy and pick a topic where you CAN easily find a knowledge issue. For the sake of getting a good grade, some might consider it worth re-writing/re-approaching your topic from a different angle so that it'll score you some marks.

Oh I'm sorry; did you look at the link though? It explains all about the KI, what it is, what it constitutes, etc.  it's not just a presentation guide. This is probably why we won't have community threads of this sort; the pinned threads in ToK have probably pointed the members of the website in the right direction enough that they are able to pull everything together.

Thanks guys, yeah i have already done the presentation using what i thought was a knowledge issue, i guess i should've looked on here first.
I guess the knowledge issue " is how we perceive people around us a result of nature or nurture" with the title "is racism inevitable", concerns itself more with the nature of perception rather than the nature of knowledge itself.

Most people get this wrong. The word 'perception' in ToK is reserved for the term 'sense perception'. So when we talk about perception being a Way of Knowing we are talking about sense perception in the form of touch, smell, taste ect. So the application here is slightly different. Therefore, 'how we perceive people' in the way of how I judge them is not the correct applicant. 'how we perceive people' in the sense of how I visually see them, hear them ect. is the correct application in terms of perception as a way of knowing.
