So I've been assigned a comparison paper on two Latin American independence movements. I have chosen the Brazilian and Mexican independence movements. Basically, the conceptual areas this paper needs to address are (not necessarily in this order): background information on the movement, causes which led to the movement (bit redundant there, but those are my teacher's words, not mine...), outcome of the movement, and which of the two revolutionary movements was most successful in terms of its original rationale and/or purpose. With this in mind, I was hoping to get some advice on the structuring of my paper. What do you think the most effective way to organize it? The paper will be graded using the IB markbands, if that makes a difference to anyone. Thanks!
