So I've been wondering, haven't found the answer yet...

How much does the EE count for in the bigger scheme of things? Say a person scores poorly on their EE, but does well in other subjects, could they potentially jeopardize their diploma?

Your EE contributes along with your TOK grade to give you your bonus points. The only way it could jeopardise your diploma is if you get a E, which is a feat I have never heard personally of actually happening. If you get a E in either EE or TOK you need 28 points instead of 24 to get your diploma. If you get a E in both you automatically fail the diploma, but you basically have to hand in 2 pieces of blank paper because Ds dont require that many marks. If you muck up our EE or TOK it could cost you the few bonus points that could be the difference between getting enough points to get into a course at uni or not, but it is nearly impossible for it to screw up your actual diploma.
