Forum,

Please help me make this decision. I want to study economics at university, most likely involving mathematics (finance, econometrics). Should I get a teacher recommendation from mathematics or economics?

Thanks,
Kris

Hey there! :)

How about both? If that's possible. It would be much better then one recommendation in my opinion. But if you can take one then i suggest it to be for economics. Hope i helped. ^_^

I think most universities ask for two recommendations. If I'm not mistaken.

If you're only restricted to one, then I think you should ask your economics teacher. If you take Economics HL, then the teacher can also comment on your mathematical abilities, as she would have seen how well you do on the math-based sections of the syllabus (although the math is pretty simple, it's better to have your economics teacher comment on your abilities in economics and math then to have your math teacher only comment on your mathematical abilities).
