Hi forum!
When answering short answer questions (SAQ) with the command term of Explain, what tips do you have?
I recently answered, "Explain how principles that define the Cognitive Level of Analysis can be demonstrated in research" with the the format of something like this:
i. Explicit state the 3 principles (The principles that define the Cognitive Level of Analysis...)
ii. Research 1 ...conducted an experiment on eyewitness testimony and demonstrated two principles ... (principle #1 and #2) .. describe research [SIGNPOST] therefore demonstrating the principles ...
iii. Research 2 ...demonstrated the principle ... (principle #3) ... describe research .. [SIGNPOST] therefore demonstrating the principle ...
I achieved a 6/8 for an essay with the comments of being a bit too descriptive and not explanatory.
What can I do better to seize full marks?
