Thank you! Reply
Wicquor
By closed, do you mean as in not accepting students? They're certainly not on vacation at that time of the year. Reply
Brenda Wijaya
Hmm, I mean can I pay a visit to the universities to see how the surroundings are like, seeing the classes, and also perhaps meeting with the international student officer... Because what I knew is that it's winter out there so maybe by > June 10 they are having winter breaks? Reply
Wicquor
lol no, winter breaks aren't until late June/early July, if I'm not mistaken. If you want to, you could look at the exact holiday dates on the websites of these universities. I believe with permission you should be allowed to look around the campus, but I don't know about being able to meet with the faculty, sorry :c 1 Reply
Brenda Wijaya
A bit confused with the collision of dates between winter recess and examinations written down here:checked at http://www.unimelb.edu.au/unisec/PDates/acadcale.html Monday 3 June – Sunday 28 July Winter Recess (8 weeks) Monday 3 June – Friday 7 June SWOT Vac Tuesday 11 June – Friday 28 June Examinations But I think you are right, they are having the winter breaks until late June/ Early July... flinquinnster
I do think they have a winter break in late June/early July - and they also have stu vac/exams on in the same winter break. You might find it difficult to meet up with faculty members and/or students during that time, and you would definitely not see normal classes or lectures. However, I think you can still walk around and it might be possible to request a general tour. Definitely try and contact them to ask, because you don't know until then! 1 Reply

Aegle
The university campuses are generally open all year round, although classes might not be running. You should check university open day times--I think some of them are in June. Reply

thehaikubandit
As an Aussie uni student, even though it will be exam time, this affects students, not staff. They may be on a reduced time table but international advisors and such should still be available. Most of the units have an international advice team you can contact? For instance, these guys at UQ!http://www.uq.edu.au/international-students/enquire-online Reply
whatislife
Open days are VERY SOON, so there is still time! Btw, a quick google would bring you to all their university info on open days Reply
