DannyRodeck
Hello everyone! My name is Danny and I study in an IB school in Colombia (South America), yet I am Austrian and I plan to study music after i graduate from school. I plan to go to a music university in Europe, and I have been thinking of the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna or others in France, Spain or Germany. Yet, I would also love to study in a North American university such as Yale, but the chances are very low. I was wondering what would be the benefits of having a good IB score when it comes to studying music, my school does not offer IB music so I chose: HL Spanish A1, HL English A, HL French B, SL Biology, SL Math Methods and SL Political Thought. I appreciate the help of any IB graduate that studies music or anyone that knows something about this. Thanks! Reply
Chio1012
I asked my friend who is taking IB Music now, and here's what he said:"well... if you're studying in a conservatory for performance should not matter too much if you've got credentials outside. for example, if you participate in many musical events, opportunities etc., and you pass the audition for the university, then taking music or not in the IB shouldn't matter too much. you should check the requirement for each school, but i think most schools only ask for you to pass IB."PS. I wish my school offered Political Thought; I'd definitely would have taken it! Reply
