Hello everyone

So.... I'm kinda lost to be very informal.

I wanted to do my extended essay about French songs in WW1 as tools of propaganda, but my supervisor told me it was to narrow and so she proposed to study the differences and similarities of Clemenceau's and Petain's propaganda, as one was in a 'free' France and the other 'under nazi control'. I feel that it's enormously broad but yeah.

The thing is I don't really know how to structure this essay. Should I go through all the means of propaganda and analyse ≠ and = of the two governments?

My supervisor wasn't very helpful with this... (she didn't even remember I was under her supervision...)

Some guidance/tips/ideas would be immensely nice and would save me.

Thank you :)

I don't know much about your topic, but I would say it depends on the way you structure your question. If you wanted to say something along the lines of, "to what extent was music used as a method of propaganda and how effective was it?" I feel like you might have enough to say, and the structure I would choose is dividing the essays into sections covering the various sources and areas of impact. I'm not sure.

But If you're going to compare two different minister's propaganda then your essay could would just split up propaganda into it's various aspects (such as mediums, influences, content/relation to the government, effectiveness) and for each of those aspects talk about the differences and similarities. Sorry if this isn't really clear.

Hi! I thought I will use this topic and not start a new one.
I would like to do my EE about Lenin's policies/beliefs on women. However, I have really hard time narrowing it down. My history teacher is not very helpful... "Lenin policies on women" is definitely to broad. I think that I would like to specifically focus on Lenin's interview with Clara Zetkin, his speeches, beliefs, theoretical approach and not specific changes introduced.
I was also thinking about comparing Lenin's and Stalin's view on a position of a women in a family but I don't know if that's not to diffcult. What do you think?
Any ideas what I could do?
