Sofia.
Hi! I've recently been given a revision guide for Chemistry SL/HL for the 2007 syllabus. If I'm correct, I'm currently studying the 2009-syllabus. How different are the two courses? Can I still use the revision guide? Thanks very much! Sandwich
It wasn't so different (although make sure you're not confusing being published in 2007 with being for EXAMs in 2007 - the guide published in 2007 was for 2009 exams, because it takes 2 years to get to the exams from starting to use the book!). However I would always refer to the new syllabus and obviously learn from a main textbook. Some material you'll come across in the revision guide and not recognise, you'll have to look up the syllabus and make sure whether it's unrecogniseable because you don't know it or because it's not included in the new syllabus. Equally there are bits of the syllabus which have been added. Basically refer to it, but don't use it as your sole source for anything and double-check stuff.
