We don't know how to make it worth good marks as our teachers are marking them and they are going towards our school grade. Usually it is done in class, so you should be able to get specifications from your teacher. I have no idea why it will be marked. Normally it is not assessed and is intended to stimulate your reading and thinking about your works, in preparation for the later WA .
