Jobobee
Hello all,I'm starting the IB soon and need a calculator for it. I've been considering the HP Prime which as far as I know is banned but under review. Would I be allowed to use it for the course and then borrow a ti 84 for the exam, or would I not/be better off not doing so to familiarise myself with the calculator?I expect that it will be permitted for the exams, but there's always that small chance...Thanks,Joseph Reply
Thrashmaster
Well, first of all, do you know you can borrow a calculator? Who can you get a calc from that won't be using theirs? But, in any case, it is usually better to have a guaranteed calc, and the TI 84 is tried and true. I'd still go with that, but if you want to risk it, you need to ask your teacher if you'll be allowed to use it during the course. He/She might have a rule.
