Lynxarin
Hi, Would playing league of legends count for CAS? I mean shouldn't it count as CAS since it is an e-sport and my goal is to achive silver 1 from bronze 5? Thanks Reply
by.andrew
Haha, unfortunately, I don't think e-sports would count as "Action". To be sure, you should ask your CAS supervisor. It wasn't allowed at my school (Starcraft, WoW, Minecraft, LoL, etc.). Reply
Thrashmaster
If you really, really want to stretch it, you might be able to make strategy guides or something and call that creativity, but you'll need to be able to argue that it meets one or more of those CAS outcomes. You're better off not doing it, and at the very least talking to an advisor or coordinator about it first. Reply
Simmo2108
If you think that a game will count for CAS think again. It isn't action, it isn't creativity and it is definitely not service. You will waste your already non-existent life of LOL resulting in the failure of the IB. I have a friend who just graduated and he didn't get the results he wanted because he played too many games. So think of something better... Reply
Clockwork
This might seem a bit perplexed but its nothing related to DP CAS its based on MYP year 11. We have something called healthy relationships except for year 11, we were investigating Darwin's "Theory of Evolution" and his concept of "Social Darwinism". Our objective was to explain the application in the aforesaid through different medias creatively. What my friend did was explain Darwin's theory and the concept through playing League of Legends, his presentation was surprisingly the best out of all the others. Sofia.
One of my classmates is playing some game (not sure it's LOL though) as service. However, he's allowed to do that because he's the leader of a team, not just because he's playing. Pretty cool CAS though! Reply

Willy Wonka
Would sleeping for 8 hours every night count for creativity? I wish to achieve the highest average REM sleep throughout my final year of IB. Setting the world record for most rested IB student. Reply
