DVnity
Hi, I have a question regarding question 1b ii of the N10/3/BUSMT/HP2/ENG/TZ0 paper. The markscheme says award one mark "for the identification of the margin of safety", however I was wondering what this meant exactly. Does this mean that I would get a mark for drawing it on the graph or would I also need to specify the number of units it is equal to? I would think specify the number of units would be quite redundant as the margin of safety drawn on the graph is already between a two values so finding it is just the different. For the break-even point you are awarded a mark for identifying it and 1 mark for showing calculation, but for the margin of safety there is only for identification. Does this mean I would be fine with just drawing it, correctly between the two values, and not need to provide the value it is equal to get the one mark? Thank you Reply
