asadpasat
I am confused of what is required for ib certificate. So, my counselor said that it's not required to take TOK and EE. Is it true? As it sounds weird. Thanks Reply
Emmi
That's true. For the IB certificate, you just take the chosen IB class, and complete all the required assessments and exam papers for that subject. You are not required to do CAS, TOK, or an extended essay, that's only for full diploma candidates. You can do as few certificates or as many as you'd like. As long as it's approved by your school, you can get a certificate in whichever subject you'd like, and at whichever level you'd like (standard or higher level). The exception to this is that certain subjects are only offered at the standard level, such as self-taught A languages, ab initio languages, and math studies.
