TOK - Presentation [Experimentation with animals in Academic Curriculae]

A friend and I have been trying to figure out a proper Real-life situation for our Theory of Knowledge Presentation and initially, we thought that using mere animal experimentation, but we also reflected on it and came to think that it is a bit general and perhaps overused. Trying to choose a more original and accurate situation, we came over and found that we could give a different focus on animal experimentation, ethics, and the way ethics can regulate and interact over knowledge acquisition in different areas of knowledge, so we thought that using the IB Psychology Ethical guidelines for the IA (which strictly ban the use of animals as testing subjects) could be a more suited example, including a discussion on the pro's/con's of including animal experimentation in academic curricula before discussing the importance of ethical considerations on the process of gathering knowledge, as well as an analysis on the ethical  dimension of modern knowledge acquisition.

 

We wanted to know if our Real-life situation is proper enough for the presentation.
