English A EE - Word count

I am currently int eh process of finishing my first draft for my ee, which is due on the 27 - oh god. I was forced to start over by my supervisor, as apparently there was some discussion about whether something like I was doing was okay.

Long story short: I am out of ideas for what to write about, and with my (unwritten as of now) conclusion, my essay will end up at about 3,200 words. Is this too short if it fills all the other criteria?

I think 3200 is a bit short. Ideally you want between 3800-4000, I think the absolute minimum you could write and still score well in English would be maybe 3600 (that's just a speculation). I had the same problem as you for my EE, I felt like I had finished and only had around 3000. In the end I wrote a paragraph evaluating different points of view on my topic and managed to get the word count to 3800ish. So maybe see if you can think of another paragraph to write.

What's your topic if you don't mind me asking? I love Sherlock Holmes :)

My research question is "To what extent was Dr. John H. Watson an unreliable narrator of A Study in Pink?" I feel like I have written just about everything there is to write at this point, and anything more would just be babbling. However, I'll have another look at it when I hear back from my supervisor, and I'll try to think of anything.

If any of you have suggestions, feel free to give me some ideas.
