mr_awesome Posted October 8, 2014 Report Share Posted October 8, 2014 (edited) The different size holes used at the bottom of the can would be your Independent variable because they are changed to cause a change on the rate of water flow. Though make sure you have at least 5-6 different sizes. Although I do not take physics, I would say your investigation would be related to how different sized holes at the bottom of a can effect the rate of water flow in accordance to 1 of newtons laws that relate to this for example.
