Hi!

So I'm in my first year of IB and I'm deciding on my EE topic. I'm thinking about doing it in English Language and Literature. My main focus is to demonstrate female struggles in the contemporary culture through the memoir, "Eat Pray Love," and the contemporary novel, "Love, Rosie." However, I am not sure if addressing just one book is better for my topic. I'm quite confused and unsure. What are your thoughts on this?

THANK YOU

Depends. If the two books are both very rich in terms of the topic you are exploring, I'd go with one. This will allow you to analyze the text thoroughly and will make your analysis effective. If you focus on two, you might have a lot too say and it will seem as if you are only touching on the tip of an iceberg.

Just my two cents.
