Simmo2108
I have chosen the topic of modelling infectious diseases and modelling the rate of infection off a cumulative frequency of the number of infections per year using the derivative. I am comparing smallpox, chickenpox and cowpox. But I need some questions to answer. Would love any help formulating these. Reply
Sofia.
Hi! What I did was calculate how many in my hometown would die if an infectious individual were to enter the town (Depressing, I know ) You could do something similar - see which disease would be the worst etc. 1 Reply

Mann Yerolkar
Hmm What I would suggest is to try and observe a pattern that follows(if any). If there is a rise and fall kind of pattern for every regular time period, try comparing this model to the regular sine and cosine curves by graphing the results. Then you can model the graph for the other diseased and compare. Edited November 25, 2014 by Mann Yerolkar 1 Reply
