ayexkay
I have a question regarding uncertainties as I don't really know how to find them. I have a question referring to grams of a substance and also mmHg, as in for blood pressure. So I would have 'g' for one unit. I would also have 'mmHg' for another unit. But what would be the uncertainty value for this or is there even any...? Thanks for any help offered. Note: I am doing a practice lab and just stating my units in the beginning. So the uncertainties would be +/- (whatever it is). I currently have mine set to both +/- 1 but I don't know if it is correct. Emmi
The uncertainty is related to the specific equipment you'll be using to perform the lab. It isn't necessarily +/- 1, it will be whatever is listed or given based on things like spacing intervals. You'll want to look at your scale for the uncertainty for your mass, and your blood pressure measuring device for the uncertainty in the blood pressure readings. It will probably state what the uncertainty is on the equipment itself. Reply
