hi,

I just wanted to what would be easier to do since I want to focus more on my HL's than a language, is French alot harder than Spanish? or the other way around. I have no background in any of the languages but I have done Japanese however not enough to cope with SL.

thanks :)

I personally think Spanish is quite a bit easier than French buts that's probably because I learn't French for 5 years and since they're similar in a way, Spanish seems easier. Both should be pretty easy if you're decent at learning new languages - it'll probably be harder for you than someone who has previously learn't a romance language but it should be easy, nonetheless.

I recommend you take the language that you'll think you'll make use of after the ab initio course - so if you're interested in studying in the US or a country where there are a large number of Spanish speakers, you're obviously better off taking Spanish ab initio and vice versa.
