meowchelle
Hello I'm doing a trial for my TOK presentation soon, and as my real life issue came from news, and I found a news report on the issue. It's only an overall report on the news and it's 40 seconds long. Is it alright if I use it in my presentation to introduce my issue, and then take it from there? To me it seem more legitimate coming from a news clip, and afterward I will restate the issue briefly, and go on with my KIs and WoKs and AoKs etc. Is this allowed? Thank you! Thrashmaster
It was allowed at my school. ToK Presentation is more school specific than other aspects of the IB Program or even the ToK essay. Ask your teacher or IB coordinator if you want to absolutely sure. lucettafetta
Yeah I did that too, I think as TOK is all about gaining new perspectives and ideas, I think they should encourage some different kinds of presentations such as using a video. So yes, you are allowed to (or at least at my school yes.) Reply
FrozenUnicorn
I think it is allowed. But you probably need to give a description before or after presenting the video so that the real-life situation will be partially presented by you.
