Hey guys, so I have my English IOP due in two weeks and I'm super stuck.

How do I structure it?

We're doing book to film, the novel I have chosen is Fight Club, I'm doing the relationship between Tyler Durden and the narrator.

All I have is quotes that show general ideas. I have no clue how to structure the presentation

Thank you x

Umm it depends.. are you doing a creative or analytical?

If analytical: Treat it like a commentary and have a solid thesis and keep linking back to your thesis throughout your presentation. Have a conclusion as well to tie loose ends together.

If creative: have a rationale as to why you chose a certain way to present your ideas. Make sure you stay focused on the text and don't go off in tangents.

(btw, I'm sorry I couldn't help much)

Hi!

This is my first year of IB, but I did my IOP before the winter holidays.

Start with perhaps a general summary of your theme or introduce the question.

Maybe spend 2 or 3 slides on each point that you're using for your argument/topic. Don't put too many words, or too many animations. Add pictures. If you have a significant quote use 1 slide for it, perhaps, and bullet-points with important ideas you want to touch upon. Use your cue cards to expand on those ideas.

Keep your presentation chronological if possible so that the audience won't get lost.

I hope this helps!  :D
