Eid Jazairi
Hello all, I am an English A LL: SL student, I know that the IB specifies 2 books for Part 3 and 2 books for the Part 4.Overall we've studied a total of 6 books in the SL course, 2 more than the specified number. Now my question is in reference to Part 3 section, which will be used in paper 2 exam. The books I have studied that the teacher has already submitted to IB under part 3 are as following:1984, George Orwell (PLA)Pride and Prejudice, Jane Austen (PLA)Candide, Voltaire (PLT) My teacher says that you can put in more than 2 books in the part 3 to use in the exam and 2 books is only the minimum, is this true? If it is, IB specifies that 1 book is from PLT and 1 book from PLA, what if on the exam I use both PLA books to answer the paper 2 question (1984 and PP) and not use the book from PLT (Candide), would that be acceptable? Hence, although specified, the entire PLT book wouldn't be used! Is this a loop hole or did IB intended it that way? What should I do? All 3 books have already been submitted to IB for EnglishA:LL SL under part 3. Which two do I use to answer the questions? Any insight will be appreciated, thank you! unknown12
Anyone knows? Because if this is possible, it changes everything! Reply
DuffsterCole
my guess would be to play it safe and DEFINITELY use the PLT textthe guide specifies that Part 3 has to cover 1 PLA and 1 PLT text, and from that, I'd assume that it expects you to include both in Paper 2 Reply
