Andrew
I am wondering this, because my teacher is a very old guy, who has fallen asleep during several of our presentations.
King112
Well, its a mix of both. You get graded internally, and then its moderated by IB. However, its multiple teachers who grade it (3-4 in my school), at least in my schoolSo you should be OK I guess.
ibprincess
at my school we did our presentations for 2 teachers. the presentations were not recorded so they can't really be sent to an external marker. but with the presentation you also have to fill in a form about your presentation and i *think* that that form may be sent away to the markers to moderate your presentations? kind of like how IOC moderates IOP and individual orals in language b moderates interactive orals? Vioh
I am wondering this, because my teacher is a very old guy, who has fallen asleep during several of our presentations. According to my IB-coordinator, all presentations are assessed internally by one or several teachers at your school. However, if there's a large difference between the grade that you get on your presentation and the grade that you get on your essay, then the IBO will moderate your presentation by reading through your presentation form. So to answer your question, I think that all presentations are marked internally, but only a few of them are moderated by external examiners.
ultimateone
Presentations are assessed internally, with some samples being externally moderated to make sure that teachers are marking correctly. As for the essay, it is externally assessed.
