Jenny7096
I'm interested in taking either Music sl or Theatre sl. In your opinion, which one is easier and more likely to get a good grade? Also, I don't know much about theatre. Is the class going to be hard for me?Thanks:) Reply
ibprincess
if you are strong in music (like playing and instrument or voice) then you have a background in music and should probably take music. if you don't have a background in either, theatre will be easier because its easier to become an ok actor in a short time than become an ok musician in a short time and if that's what you're being assessed on then you need to be able to do the course Reply
ShootingStar16
Don't go for what is easy. Go for which one you like the most out of the two because if you genuinely like the class, chances are you're going to put much more time and effort into it to do well. Also, what ibprincess said: play on your strengths. Edited May 31, 2015 by ShootingStar16 1 Reply
IbTrojan
Like the above comments, if you don't know too much about theater yet are considering music, I would assume you have a music background. I would go for SL Music (based on the little information I have to go on for this deduction) since you know about it. However, if you're looking to try something new, and have participated in drama club or took drama and liked it (something where you found an interest in theater) then go for SL theater. See which one interests you more, which one will benefit you more, and if this is the case which one you need more. Check out their course outlines so you know the expectations and course content - see if you like that too. Reply
OxfordCalling
Like other commenters already pointed out, if you have a music background of some sort, even if you only like playing your instrument, it is easier to do music. Your performance will be fifty per cent of the grade and this will help you, in case your exam will go completely wrong. If you want to do Theatre you have to be prepared to do a lot of writing and invest a lot of time. Hope this helps;) Reply
