It's totally possible but hard, though it's not difficult to do decent on it. I got 27/30 on mine (just lost marks cuz I was reading off a bit too much). On how to do the IOP.. it really depends on what you're doing. If you're doing more of an analytical IOP, treat it like a commentary, have a solid thesis and conclusion and pick apart the literary details. For mine, I did a comparison of thematic views on death in "Only Death" and Macbeth's "Life's but a walking shadow" soliloquy. I compared/contrasted different points such as life after death, the speaker's relationship to death, etc. If it's a creative, make sure you make the links to the text VERY clear and prepare a rationale as to why you did what you did. Yeah if you want full marks, try to spend a lot of time on it and don't leave it until the night before it's due.
