So far my ideas are: The impact of the first punic war on the roman rise to dominance as a regional power rather than a local power Did geography aid or harm Hannibal in the second punic war Please help me come up with more ideas/expand/refine the ideas i have. Xavier Posted July 22, 2015 Report Share Posted July 22, 2015 I'll start off by saying I am not a history student, so I have no idea what the questions are supposed to be like. I just find the punic wars fun and was interested to see you were thinking to write about them. In my opinion the first question is better, however if it was me writing the essay I would be in danger of not being able to go deep enough, but then again I am not a history student and know very little about the punic wars. What might be an interesting take on them is looking at the affects they have had on modern day society, if they have one.... But like I said earlier, the first one sounds interesting, the problem with the second one is the phrasing, I'm sure if if you changed the wording a bit it would be good as well. Try to narrow it down a bit more, since I have heard that numerous students have been too broad in their history EEs, at least in previous years.
