Guest
I am writing my maths EE and when I checked out some previous works, they only have a few references. They are demonstrating somebody's idea and using their equations, but they only cite the original source in the reference section, instead of using quote mark. For example, if I am doing quadratic formula,do I need to cite the person who discovered the formula ? Even though I am showing how it works and proving it. Also, if I want to mention somebody's book. Let's say (A) is the author, (B) is the book. In my EE, do i have to say 1990 (A) published (B) [1] where [1] is the reference, and I have to put his book in the reference section? But what if I couldnt find his book? What if I didnt even read the book, but saw some other books introducing them,. Edited July 24, 2015 by Guest Reply
