jcokok
Hi, as I'm entering my final year in high school, I was told to deicide on a topic for my mathematics internal assessment!Since my teacher told me that the topic had to do something with my interest, I decided go explore the mathematics behind billiard. (I love billiard)I want to explore the idea of geometry behind billiard (something to do with principle of reflection..angle..etc)However, I am having a hard time coming up with a research question..Can someone give me a hand with coming up with a good research question?Thanks!.. kevG
"principle of reflection" is more physics than math, so you need to understand that, my math teacher advice me not to use any physics equation unless i applied something more and clarified my own math concept in the method i used, which would be hard to a certain extent but the general idea is good, you could investigate the probability of the cue ball (or any other coloured ball) going into foul on the first try from different angles (i think this would get very complex) Reply
