Hey guys, so I was just wondering how I should go about writing my IOP?

I have a book and a topic (haven't exactly got a thesis but I know what I'm talking about in it, plus I've got three weeks to do it so no stress), but I am not sure where to go from here. Is it possible that someone could send me a list of the things I am supposed to cover in it, and also some things that I shouldn't do? That would be great!

Also, I have a few questions; I am planning to be a little bit more creative than usual in mine, and I was wondering if I am allowed to have another person act out the character I am analysing while I am talking to them like a... I guess therapist kind of thing? I have in my head them saying the quotes of what the character says in the book, and me replying and analysing them. Is that all good? Also what is the maximum time I am allowed to take for it? And is there an introduction or something that I am meant to do before the presentation, or something afterwards? If so, does this get counted within in the time frame that I have, or will it be separate?

Thanks so much :)

I think your idea (having another man acting out) is not very very good, think about it it is called "Individual Oral Presentation" and not "Group Oral Presentation", maybe stay away from that idea.

Also remember you may be allowed to use a teleprompt for quotes, because they are long, but you cannot use it for whole presentation, you may get marks taken off.

Peace fofo.

Umm ok for a creative, one thing you need to cover would be your rationale (why are you doing it in this format?). I think your idea sounds cool, but the catch is that the you have to talk for 10-15 minutes and the person has to talk for 10-15 minutes as well since you want to make this a group presentation. I also suggest asking your teacher because they will be the one who's actually marking you and every teacher prefers different styles. The intro of your presentation counts within the timeframe btw.. So yeah for your intro, just talk about why you're doing what you're doing. Another tip is to practice lots once your teacher approves of your topic. You don't want your presentation to sound too rehearsed; it has to flow naturally. When you practice, make sure you allow breathing space just in case if either you or the person talk too fast/too slow and take up less/more time. A good time to aim for would probably be 12-13 minutes when you practice. For my IOP, when I practiced, I was at 12 minutes, but on the day of it, I was pretty anxious and talked a bit too quickly, so I ended up with 10 minutes.

Hope I helped and good luck on your IOP! :)
